Waltco Truck Equipment Co President Rod Robinson has retired from the liftgate and hydraulic cylinder manufacturing company. His successor is Michael Militello, president of Ultron, a liftgate manufacturer owned by Waltco's parent company, Cargotec. Robinson's career with Waltco spans 37 years, including 22 years as president. He began as a sales representative and was named president in 1986. Robinson was president of the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) from 2004 to 2005 and served on the NTEA board from 1999 to 2005.
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has promoted Bob Johnson to vice president of aftermarket sales and marketing. He succeeds John Flad, a 26-year commercial vehicle aftermarket veteran who retired March 31, 2009. Johnson, who began his career with Bendix in 1989, most recently was director-marketing and communications. Joe McAleese, president and chief executive officer of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, has been recognized by Bowling Green State University (BGSU) with an Accomplished Graduate Award. A graduate of the BGSU College of Business Administration, he was one of 18 alumni selected for the honor.
Denis Bleile has been named sales manager at Hannay Reels. He replaces Dave Guilzon, who is retiring after 39 years of service. Guilzon spent most of his years with the firm in the sales department, serving more than 12 years as sales manager. With more than 25 years of experience in the industrial sector, Bleile is moving from Norwalk OH to Westerlo NY, where Hannay is based.
