Samir G Gibara will resign as chairman of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co's board of directors effective June 30, 2003. Robert J Keegan, the company's president and chief executive officer, has been elected by the board to succeed Gibara as chairman.
ArvinMeritor Inc has named Eduardo Montero director-product management and marketing for its Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket (CVA) group based in Florence KY. Before joining ArvinMeritor, he served as an internal consultant to global pricing and procurement groups at Eli Lilly & Co. Walt Sherbourne has been appointed director-aftermarket sales for the CVA group, having previously served as eastern regional sales manager for the group.
Collins Associates Inc has appointed Omar Sandlin manager of manufacturing operations for Venco Mfg Inc and Venturo Mfg Inc. He will be responsible for manufacturing operations of the Cincinnati and Jacksonville plants. Previously, Sandlin spent 20 years with Champion Paper Co in manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
Maxon Lift Corp has added Melvin Burr and Doug Kearns to its technical service department, bringing the firm's number of technical representatives to seven nationwide.
Sika Corp has promoted Scott Henry from director of product engineering to vice-president-transportation OEM and marine. Dr George Sivy, who had been the division's technical service manager, becomes director of product engineering.
Transportation Technologies Inc (TTI) has appointed Anthony Donatelli president and chief executive officer of the Imperial Group, a business unit of TTI. He joined the Imperial Group in May of 2002 as executive vice-president and chief operations officer. TTI has added Steve Witherspoon to its Detroit MI sales team. Most recently, he was business development manager/senior account manager with Benteler Automotive.
