Cummins Inc has named Jean Blackwell, vice-president — Cummins Business Services, as chief financial officer and chief of staff. Tom Linebarger, vice-president and CFO, will become president of the Cummins Power Generation Business, succeeding Jack K Edwards, who will retire in June after a 30-year career with the company. Susan K Carter, Cummins vice-president and controller, will become vice-president of finance and chief accounting officer.
Bostrom Seating, a business unit of Transportation Technologies Industries Inc (TTI), has hired Michael Bates as director of engineering. Bates was formerly employed by General Motors as system architect and as lead engineer.
Mikey Benes has joined Lauren Mfg as research/process engineer. He has a master's from Akron University and from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, Czech Republic. Steve Schwartz, a graduate of the Tuscarawas Campus of Kent State University, has become a process engineer at Lauren. Carol Withem has joined Lauren as receptionist. Previously, she was administrative assistant at MKC Associates Inc.
Sno-Way International Inc has appointed Rick Knuth district sales manager for the Central District comprising Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. He previously worked for the McMillen Co and operated his own company as a manufacturer's representative for skid steer loader anbd compact tractor attachments.
