Tim Morscheck, formerly vice-president and general manager of the Trucking Electronic Systems Division at Eaton Corp, has been appointed vice-president chief technology officer for its Truck business unit. Josette Russell has been named to the newly created position of manager-marketing and business development. She had been manager-business systems deployment worldwide, at the Clutch Division. Chris Shemas has been appointed to the newly created position of sales manager-NAFTA. Most recently, Shemas was manager of OEM sales and marketing for Truck. Steve Melvin, named to the newly created position of manager-service product development, most recently was manager of truck service and support.
Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co has named James C Whiteley vice-president for government compliance and product performance. Donald E Stanley has been appointed vice-president-product quality and plant technology. Whiteley formerly was vice-president for global product and process quality, and Stanley was director of global process quality.
Dave Lang has joined Waltco Truck Equipment Co as director of marketing and sales. He comes to Waltco from Markinetics Inc, a Marietta OH-based transportation industry consultant, where he was president.
Allison Transmission Division of General Motors has appointed James L Lanzon director of engineering. He previously was vice-president and director of engineering for New Venture Gear, formerly a joint venture company wholly owned by DaimlerChrysler and General Motors.
