Chelsea Products Group of Dana Corp has introduced the new 660 (six-bolt) and 680 (eight-bolt) Series power take-offs (PTOs)designed to function reliably with popular transmissions.

The 660 Series PTO works with transmission applications where above-normal torque capacity might be required. With three speed ratios, the 660 series provides 29 output options and is designed to run pneumatic blowers or tandem pumps. This workhorse features cast-iron housing and tapered cone bearings on the output shaft, as well as a high-torque-capacity gear design. The removable shift cover helps establish correct backlash settings during installation. New self-locking nuts eliminate the need for tab washers. Approximate weight of a 660 is 25.6 pounds.

The 680 Series PTO works with virtually all existing and new transmission applications that feature an eight-bolt PTO aperture. With three speed ratios, the Chelsea 680 provides 29 output options, 11 shift options, two lubrication options, and three mounting styles. Chelsea's new deep-mount housing design opens up more application coverage on Mack transmissions. Installation is simplified and chance of leakage reduced by incorporating the thickness of the filler block in the PTO housing. Self-locking nuts mean no tab washers are necessary. The 680 weighs about 28.2 pounds. For more details, contact Chelsea, PO Box 321, Toledo OH 43697-0321.
