Automation & Assembly Summit to debut

The inaugural Automation & Assembly Summit is set for May 10-12, 2004, at the American Airlines Training & Conference Center in Fort Worth TX. Sponsored by the Automation & Assembly Community of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, this event combines conference presentations by automation and assembly specialists with exhibits from suppliers and systems integrators.

How do industry and government view globalization? Find out from Tom Rucker, Intel Corp's director of factory automation, and Dr Warren DeVries of the National Science Foundation's Design, Manufacture & Industrial Innovation Division.

For a close look at how major manufacturers apply advanced automation and assembly technologies, tours of General Motors' Arlington Assembly Plant or Lockheed-Martin's Fighter Facility are offered.
