Autocar LLC has completed a two-year manufacturing expansion plan to keep pace with demand for the Xpeditor.

“Due to strong order intake through the end of 2006, Autocar will increase production 25% in order to fulfill our customers' needs for this year,” said Jim Johnston, president of Autocar.

John Buttrey, vice-president of operations, has joined the Autocar team to drive this expansion in Hagerstown IN. He brings 26 years of manufacturing and quality experience from working at John Deere, Chrysler, and Mack.

Autocar has also expanded its product offering through a joint venture with General Motors. The conventional cab model was displayed at WasteExpo 2006 recently, and the first units will come off the line in September 2006.

Other Autocar moves include expanding its engagement of Dr Vadim Kozyrkov and Aculocity LLC to drive business systems strategy.; solidifying a partnership with Ken Cook Co, a provider of technical publications and training programs; and awarding a new contract to Belcan Corp, an engineering, technical staffing, IT, and multimedia firm.
