Garner IA-based Iowa Mold Tooling Co Inc (IMT) has been purchased by American Capital Strategies Ltd from the Intermet Corp for $32.2 million. Other equity capital was provided by Mobile Tool International, an American Capital portfolio company, and members of the IMT senior management team. GMAC Business Credit provides a senior credit facility for the acquisition.

It invests in debt and equity of companies led by private equity firms, provides capital directly to private and small public companies, and is a publicly traded buyout and mezzanine fund. American Capital also finances growth, acquisitions, and recapitalizations.
