AME event to be Thriving in the Challenge of Change

The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) is planning its 22nd annual conference to be held Oct 16-20, 2006, at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Dallas

The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) is planning its 22nd annual conference to be held Oct 16-20, 2006, at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Dallas TX. This year's theme is “Thriving in the Challenge of Change.”

This event provides 160 elements to learn from, including international keynotes, more than 30 tours of area plants that demonstrate best practices, 40 theme-related exhibitors, 30 workshops delivered by international experts as well as over 60 Lean best practices. The conference is co-sponsored by the Society for Manufacturing Engineers.

Besides presentations from operations practitioners and teams from small, medium and large businesses, keynote speakers will inform and inspire attendees. Keynoters include Jim Collins, author of the best sellers Built to Last and Good to Great; Gen Wilma Vaught, the most decorated woman general in United States military history, and Dell Computer Corp's Dick Hunter, vice-president of worldwide operations.
