Dominic Grote has been named president of Grote Industries, a family-owned manufacturer of heavy-duty lighting and vehicle safety systems. He replaces Eric Morris, who announced last month that he would be stepping down as president to take a new position as the company’s director of accessory markets.

Grote is the fourth generation of the Grote family to lead the 108-year-old company, which is headquartered in Madison, IN. Most recently he served as the company’s VP of sales & marketing, where he led the development and introduction of advanced, high-performance LED lighting technologies for the commercial and military vehicle markets. He began his career with the company in 1993 and has held various management positions in sales, marketing and product development.

Grote holds a BA from Southern Methodist University, an MBA from George Washington University and he is a graduate of Wharton’s advanced management program.

“Continuity and intelligent succession planning have been keys to our long-term success as a closely-held business,” said Grote Industries’ chairman and CEO, William D. Grote III. “These continue to be challenging times, but with Dominic’s acumen, leadership and vigor, I remain more confident than ever in the company’s continued success.”

Grote Industries engineers and manufactures LED, fluorescent and incandescent lamps, mirrors, wiring systems, turn signal switches, connection accessories and reflective accessories, which it sells to OEMs and on the aftermarket.
