FleetPride, Inc., the nation's largest independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, announced that it has acquired the assets of Express Truck Parts, Inc. in San Jose, California.

This acquisition includes an approximate 10,000-square-foot facility and brings the total number of FleetPride locations in California to 21. Express Truck Parts' previous owner, Ken Stahl, will stay on in the role of Branch Manager and employment offers were extended to all employees.

"Express Truck Parts is located on Highway 101 near the intersection of Interstate 880, both of which are key thoroughfares from San Francisco. San Jose has a strong industrial base, numerous large warehousing and distribution centers, and is the gateway to a thriving agricultural market south of the city. These are all industries that rely on heavy-duty truck and trailer distribution methods, making San Jose a logical expansion choice for FleetPride. San Jose is a strategic geographic compliment to our existing Hayward branch and allows us to extend our reach south of San Jose into markets that weren't previously accessible from Hayward," said Steve Turnlund, Regional Manager, Western Region.

"Because Express Truck Parts has been in the same location in San Jose for 33 years, they have a built-in, loyal following. Leveraging these existing customer relationships will allow us to quickly ramp up and result in significant growth and product line expansion going forward," explained Mike Paxton, Vice President Business Development and Strategic Planning.
