BASED on the record turnout and equipment sales at the recent Fabtech 2012, manufacturing is alive and well in North America.

The annual exhibition of machine tools and manufacturing technology attracted 25,903 attendees, according to show organizers, and the exposition occupied more than 450,000 net square feet of exhibit space at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Visitors viewed live equipment demonstrations and took advantage of an array of educational conference held in conjunction with the three-day expo.
