Rolling Star Mfg., Inc., of Barneveld, NY, has passed the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers’ (NATM) safety compliance consultation, part of NATM’s compliance program.

NATM’s compliance program, including its consultation, is based on the NATM Guidelines for Recommended Minimum Manufacturing Practices for Light- and Medium-Duty Trailers. The Guidelines is a compilation of federal safety standards and regulations and industry best practices that govern trailer construction.

Rolling Star Manufacturing, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business that specializes in the manufacturing of custom high-end trailers located in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Their first trailer, a fiber optic splicing trailer, rolled out of their doors in 1996 and made its appearance at the summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, they have built hazardous response, surveillance, classroom and many other different types of trailers. They supply command centers to the U.S. Government including the Air Force, FBI, Navy and many county sheriff and fire departments.

NATM’s compliance program, including the on-site consultation, is available to all NATM trailer manufacturing members. Once the manufacturer’s manufacturing process passes the 80-point checklist based on the Guidelines, the company is then NATM compliant and eligible to purchase NATM’s red, white and blue compliance decals for application to its compliant trailers. The decal states that the trailer was “Manufactured in Compliance with NATM Guidelines.”
