New CFO for Wabash

Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC), announced that Robert J. Smith has resigned from his position as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 31

Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WNC), announced that Robert J. Smith has resigned from his position as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 31, having accepted an opportunity with PPC, a privately held company headquartered in New York.

Smith will continue to work with Wabash National’s management team through a transition period, then will be replaced by Mark J. Weber, who joined Wabash National in 2005 as Director of Internal Audit. Weber also served as Director of Finance and most recently Vice President and Corporate Controller. He has 18 years of finance experience, including serving as Vice President of Finance for Great Lakes Chemical. He attended Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management where he received a Master’s of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Smith, who joined Wabash National in March of 2003 as Vice President and Corporate Controller, has served as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer since June of 2004.
