Minimizer, manufacturer of poly truck fenders and accessories, plans to expand its relationships with Canada-based distributors and set up a warehouse distribution center in Toronto in summer 2008. Seizing on market conditions arising from the weakened United States dollar, the company anticipates 500 percent growth in Canada in 2008. Today, Canada comprises about 4 percent of Minimizer business.

Canada, in particular, offers a unique business opportunity for Minimizer, says Craig Kruckeberg, chief executive officer of Minimizer. The country allows the use of the road train, a longer-than-average trailer. While widely used in Canada, the road train is restricted in the United States.
