Eaton Establishes Global Aftermarket Unit

Eaton Corporation has formed a new Global Aftermarket and Clutch Business Unit, which combines Eaton’s automotive and truck aftermarket product lines and its heavy-duty truck clutch business and will have global responsibility for marketing, sales, business development, engineering, program management, and manufacturing strategy.

John Beering has been named its vice president and general manager.

“This new structure will help us to put a greater focus on the aftermarket in both the automotive and commercial vehicle markets, and it will also allow us to better apply our resources to grow these businesses globally,” said Ken Davis, president – Eaton’s Vehicle Group. “John’s business leadership skills and experience position him very well to lead and grow these businesses for us.”

Beering was previously vice president and general manager of clutch and aftermarket for Eaton’s truck business, and before that he was Truck Group director of global marketing. Beering joined Eaton in 2006 from United Technologies Corporation, where he was director of marketing for its Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines & Services division. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and master’s degree in Business Administration from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
