Clement Industries (Minden, LA) has begun construction on a new 20,000-square-foot building that will be used solely for the manufacture of Clement's new line of aluminum dump trailers.

Located adjacent to its 146,000-square-foot steel trailer manufacturing facility in Minden, the new plant will be state-of-the-art, according to Clement President Greg Hicks.

"After years of innovation in steel dump trailers, we built our first aluminum trailers in 2002," said Hicks. “Utilizing the successful experience gained over the past five years, a complete new line of aluminum dumps will be introduced to the market. We have reached the point in the development of our aluminum business, that this large commitment of resources is necessary if we are to fully exploit our opportunities for continued growth."

Many months have been spent on the planning of this new aluminum facility.

"We have two goals to accomplish with this new facility," said Hicks. "We intend to build trailers with quality that’s second to none, and with efficiencies such that our customers get 'more bang for the buck' with their Clement aluminum trailers."

As is the case with its steel trailers, the aluminum trailers will be marketed by a Clement distributor network throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and around the world.
