XL Specialized Trailers, a manufacturer of heavy-haul and specialized trailers, received the ISO 9001:2015 certification on July 21, 2023, for design, manufacture, and service of engineered and customized trailers for applications in the heavy-haul trucking industry. XL was audited by Eagle Certification Group through an onsite evaluation of the efficacy of their processes and systems.
ISO 9001:2015 is a standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that sets out the requirements for a quality management system. The standard is based on the following seven principles: customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making, and relationship management.

“We wanted a way to show people we are capable and consistent with what we are building and providing to them,” said Bruce Kopf, director of quality at XL Specialized Trailers. The ISO 9001:2015 was the perfect way to do so, showcasing the quality and consistency of the trailer products that XL builds.
XL speaks highly of their products as well as takes pride in customer relations, and now they also have the certification to endorse the work.
