Aurora Parts & Accessories LLC, an aftermarket semi-trailer parts distribution company, has opened a new facility in Dallas. The opening marks the second new distribution center for Aurora Parts in the past nine months, with the opening of their Atlanta facility last October, the Lebanon, IN-based company noted.

The new facility, providing over 105,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, is centrally located to freight delivery routes that travel through Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado and parts of Kansas. The Dallas PDC is the next step in Aurora’s long range plan for the network, according to Mike Conley, vice president of sales

“Through the utilization of our FleetPerform program, more and more fleets are looking to our network to provide them with comprehensive solutions to reducing unit down times. We recognize the importance of rapid order fulfillment to meet these future demands,” said Conley. “We are committed to providing the highest level of parts availability and customer service. The new Dallas PDC will help us shorten the delivery cycle in the region from weekly shipments to daily shipments. This shortened turnaround is designed to enhance the dealer’s level of service to fleets and other customers.”

Aurora Operations management has streamlined the new facility based off best practices they’ve utilized in the Indiana and Atlanta facilities, all designed for the most efficient use of space and speed of order fulfillment, the company said.
