The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) has released the 2014 Shop Installation Benchmarking Report designed to help distributors evaluate their shop performance and identify ways to boost productivity.

The data in this report can be used in establishing baseline installation times for company operations, enabling distributors to take stock of their current production levels and pinpoint potential areas of improvement.

The report is based on the results of the 2014 Shop Installation Survey, a study reflecting the truck body and equipment installation experiences of participating NTEA Distributor members. It offers perspective on:

·         Standard completion times for procedures on truck bodies

·         Expected completion times for various equipment installations

·         Employee compensation

·         Potential opportunities to enhance operational efficiency

This report contains a breakdown of the tabulated installation times for 20 types of work truck bodies and equipment, showing average times in terms of hours. It also features key information about respondents’ operations, including data on personnel, shop financial metrics and material handling equipment.

The Shop Installation Benchmarking Report is available to NTEA members for $79. Nonmembers may purchase it for $149. To order a copy of the report, visit Shop NTEA on NTEA.com or call 1-800-441-6832.
