Forschungs- und Technologiezentrum Ladungssicherung Selm gGmbH held the grand opening for a training academy, a research institute and an outdoor research lab for road trials for all vehicle classes.
The opening speaker, North Rhine-Westphalia’s Minister of Economic Affairs Garrelt Duin, confirmed that F&T LaSiSe has “the potential to become the champion in North Rhine- Westphalia”.
In his welcoming speech, Udo Dolezych, the President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, emphasized the “unparalleled symbiosis of research, development, practice and qualification.”
F&T LaSiSe also opened its gates to all interested visitors for an Open Day. From 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., visitors had the opportunity to take a look at the premises including the test track for HGVs and all other commercial vehicles, which is equipped with state-of-the-art measuring technology. Three modules are available for road tests. Many various conditions for load securing can be simulated in road tests on the circular course, hill track and dynamic motion platform. The data measured in the process can then be scientifically assessed.
The Dolezych training company, called BQH GmbH, will be closely cooperating with F&T LaSiSe in the future.
