Wabash National Corporation has launched a new domestic container that uses DuraPlate panels to provide additional interior width and capacity.

The new CargoMax container design incorporates DuraPlate composite panels in the sidewalls, nose, and doors to reduce weight and provide the strength and durability required in intermodal operations. The design also increases interior width, which allows carriers to pinwheel pallets in the cargo area and increase cargo capacity.

"We have worked closely with our customers to design and develop a domestic container to meet their growing intermodal needs and provide them with a competitive advantage in the marketplace," said Bruce Ewald, senior vice-president of sales and marketing.

Wabash National introduced the container at IANA's Intermodal Expo (booth T6), Nov. 13-15, 2005, in Anaheim, California. More information on the CargoMax is available at http://www.wabashnational.com.
