Vulcan On-Board Scales has announced a new on-board scale for roll-offs. The system has been tested in many locations and typically provides accuracy within 1% of gross vehicle weights. It is recommended for both on- and off-road applications.

The V500 meter in the cab displays gross vehicle or net payload weights and alerts the driver to unsafe or overloaded situations. The V600 meter can record net daily payloads and print individual load receipts.

The Vulcan roll-off scale uses two pin-style load cells for the rear hinge and a hydraulic sensor connected to the front lift cylinders. It includes the rear hinge assembly that features composite bushings. This feature of the Vulcan roll-off scale assures maximum durability, accuracy, and long load cell life. The rear hinge assembly is welded in place. For more details, contact Vulcan, 5920 S 194th St, Kent WA 98032.
