Volvo Trucks North America recently announced its 2008 Dealers of the Year for the U.S. and Canada

Selection criteria for the annual awards include outstanding performance in new truck and parts sales, Volvo engines, customer satisfaction index, and investment in facilities.

M & K Quality Truck Sales, Byron Center, Michigan, was named the U.S. Dealer of the Year for 2008. M&K became a Volvo Truck dealer in 2002. Ron Meyering is the dealer principal. In 2003, M&K built a new state-of-the art facility in Byron Center. The facility has 21 service bays and approximately 60 employees.

Beaver Truck Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, was named the Canada Dealer of the Year for 2008. Beaver has been a Volvo Truck dealer since 1996. Barry Searcy is the dealer principal. The dealership has 14 service bays and more than 70 employees, and has won numerous awards from Volvo over the years for sales and service.

“Our dealers are on the front lines every day, making sure our customers have the trucks, parts and service they need to drive success,” said Per Carlsson, president and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America. “It is a pleasure to recognize the outstanding work of our top-performing dealers and the example they set for customer support.”
