Volvo Trucks in Umea, Sweden, plans to paint plastic components in its new topcoat paint facility in order to reduce the impact on the environment. This entails an investment of SEK 138 million, which is stage two of a total investment of SEK 650 million.

This investment for painting plastics means changes in both technology and logistics. The paint plant will get more robots in both priming and topcoat facilities and a new box for inspection and adjustments.
