USA Harness observed its 20th anniversary in November 2010. Based in East Texas, USA Harness continues to provide systems for a variety of heavy-duty commercial vehicle applications. These include over-the-road trailers, tag and gooseneck trailers, military trailers, motorcycles, marine applications, and the secure transport industry.

The firm was founded in 1990 by Lawrence R Chambly. With more than 35 years' experience in the wiring and harness industry, he is a founding member of the Wiring Harness Manufacturers Association.

USA Harness became ISO 9001:2008-certified for manufacturing and design in 2009. It maintains a complete tool and die making shop for custom tooling and injection molding dies related to harnessing. The shop includes a three-axis CNC mill for creation and replication of tooling.

The company obtained a patent in 2001 for the “USA-Plus” harness system, which can handle up to 10 circuits within a modular over-molded harness system. This reduces harness costs for military vehicles and specialty trailers with options beyond the standard seven-circuit design. The enhanced sealing and secondary pin lock feature assures complete engagement of mating plugs and deters road corrosives.

Although the company serves primarily the North American continent, its products have been specified by manufacturers all over the world, including Asia, Africa, and South America. Visit the website at www.usaharness.com.
