US Liner Co has received a notice of allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office on an application to patent its Bulitex refrigerated trailer panels, with the official patent expected to be issued in spring 2004. A second patent application is pending.

This patent will preclude any other composite, trailer, component, or other manufacturer from producing a thermoplastic refrigerated trailer panel like Bulitex.

US Liner has recently re-engineered its reefer panels to be extremely moisture- and stain-resistant and superior to resin-based thermoset materials. The company has developed a simple test that can be conducted in any trailer repair or maintenance shop that shows the difference between resin-based thermoset materials and thermoplastic polypropylene materials used in refrigerated trailer protection.
