Heil Trailer International (HTI) has promoted Bill Harris to corporate business development manager. Before his current assignment, he was working with Heil's Defense Products Group as military business development manager. HTI has appointed Cory Gerlach as director-supply chain based in the Athens TN corporate offices. Gerlach most recently served as Mastercraft Boat Company's supply chain leader. HTI has named Robert Lane director-product management, Bryan Yielding director-product development, and Mike Byrum defense engineering specialist in the Athens offices.

Talbert Manufacturing Inc has appointed Todd Galgoci and Laura Roan as area sales managers. Galgoci manages the Great Lakes territory, which includes Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin; and in Canada, the provinces of Manitoba, Nunavut, and Ontario. Most recently, he served as regional sales manager for dumps, flats, and refuse equipment for East Manufacturing Corporation. Roan handles the Southeast territory, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Roan has served as a sales manager for Truck Bodies and Equipment International, Morgan Corp, and Dorsey Trailer Company.

Hallco Industries Inc has named Russ Halvorsen president and general manager. He has 15 years in the live-floor conveyor industry and more than 10 years in the trailer industry.

Mark Whaley has been named executive vice-president at Omaha Standard Inc. Besides his current responsibilities for sales and marketing, he will assume responsibility for engineering, product management, quality, scheduling, purchasing, and support services. Whaley joined Omaha Standard-PALFINGER in 2008 as vice-president of marketing and sales.

Hino Trucks announced the appointment of Robert “Bob” E McDowell as senior vice-president, sales and customer support. He succeeds Dominick “Nick” Vermet, who will return to a position with a stakeholder of Hino Trucks. McDowell was previously employed for 23 years by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc, most recently as president and chief executive officer.
