Wabash National Corp has named Richard J Giromini president and chief operating officer and a member of the company's board of directors. Previously, he served as WNC's senior vice-president and COO. William P Greubel remains chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors.

Doug Dunlap has been promoted to general manager of Mac Trailer Manufacturing after most recently serving as plant manager. Rod Cunningham is the new plant manager for Mac's dump and waste trailer divisions. Previously, he was product manager responsible for the dump trailer division. Simon Poulin has been appointed regional sales manager for the Canadian and Michigan markets. He formerly served with a Canadian trailer manufacturer the past 15 years.

Heil Trailer International is saying farewell to four of its key employees. In March 2005, Don Smith, vice-president of global service, retired after 43 years of service with the company. Jack Taubert is retiring from his current position as director of government sales. He began his career with The Heil Co in 1966. Joe Calonge, who joined The Heil Co in 1992, is leaving his post as worldwide petroleum products chief engineer. Bill Boyd joined Heil Trailer in 1995 and is retiring as vice-president of purchasing. Heil Trailer also announced that Wesley Chandler has been promoted to director of sales — Kalyn Siebert Trailers. He previously served as engineering manager, product manager, and regional sales manager.

John R Schaaf has been named senior vice-president of operations for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA). He was formerly regional vice-president of the company's western region. Schaaf takes over for Robert E McDowell, who was recently promoted to president and chief executive officer of MFTA.

Eric Kluver has been promoted to Omaha Standard's chief financial officer. “Eric has played a pivotal role not only in overseeing project management of our new plant, but also in helping put together the extremely complex financing package that made it possible,” said Tom and Jim Moser, company co-presidents.
