Thiele Manufacturing, based in Windber PA, announced the addition of new production lines at its 220,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.

The company was recently awarded a contract through Mack Trucks Inc to build approximately 200 dump truck bodies in the second and third quarters of 2007 for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Thiele will install the bodies, plows, spreaders, and hydraulics on Mack chassis at its Windber facility, and the completed vehicles will be delivered to depots throughout the state. Thiele's new lines will support all aspects of the Penndot/PA Turnpike work. In addition, Thiele is in the process of hiring 30-40 new employees in various capacities to facilitate the additional work.
