Supreme Corp has been chosen to construct a fleet of trucks for Budget Truck Rental. The contract calls for Supreme to produce more than 4,700 units to be delivered from January through May 2005. Sizes include 10-, 16-, and 24-foot truck bodies, set atop a variety of chassis, including Ford, GM, and International.
Each size of the Budget Truck Rental's vehicles will make use of Supreme's signature FRP (fiberglass-reinforced plywood) construction. The truck body company has become one of the largest domestic FRP builders, and has facilities dedicated to manufacturing this material so that Supreme can better control costs and availability.
