Seagrave Fire Apparatus, a division of FWD Corp, has been awarded an order from Washington DC for another eight fire apparatuses. This order is in addition to nine units recently ordered and 30 other Seagrave units ordered within the past 10 years by Washington DC.

The new order is for eight Marauder pumpers; contract price of the eight units is more than $2.5 million. These custom pumpers will feature an ultra-low 54" hose bed, 1,250-gpm Hale pump, and a 500-gallon water tank. The six-person tilt-cab has also been specified with Seagrave's cab access door compartment. Delivery is planned for first-quarter 2003.
