Sacramento Kenworth recently held a grand opening attended by nearly 500 customers to celebrate the first six months in its new state-of-the-art facility.

A member of Kenworth’s dealer network of nearly 300 locations in the U.S. and Canada, Sacramento Kenworth is located in a 40,000 square-foot facility on nearly 6 acres near Interstate 80. Tom Bertolino, Sacramento Kenworth dealer principal, and his business partner Harry Mamizuka, made a significant investment in the new facility.

“Business has been very good in the first six months in our new facility,” Bertolino said. “The economy has helped increase truck sales and parts and service business is up despite a long rainy season this year. We’ve seen a significant increase in walk-in traffic for parts and trucks sales compared to our former location.”

The dealership’s biggest challenge at its former location was finding enough qualified service technicians for the shop, according to Bertolino. “The new facility has helped attract eight new service technicians bringing our total to 22,” said Bertolino. “We’ve reached record service levels during the past two months and look forward to a very strong summer as Sacramento Kenworth continues its focus on growing the service business. Sacramento’s economy is strong and the demand for quality service is very prominent.”
