The Resistance Welder Manufacturers' Association (RWMA) plans to conduct its Emmet A Craig Resistance Welding School, set for Sept 18-19, 2002, at the Northbrook Hilton in Chicago IL. In the past 30 years, the RWMA has educated more than 3,000 resistance welding professionals through this program.

The program provides a back-to-the-basics course for users of resistance welding equipment, and enrichment and review for engineers, technicians, supervisors, and production personnel. Each session includes detailed instructions on welding processes and machines, electrical power systems, electrodes and tooling, machine control systems, welding controls, and initial machine setup.

Each course participant is given the opportunity to learn at his or her own pace and encouraged to meet with the instructors to discuss specific concerns.

Registration includes training materials; the Resistance Welding Manual, Fourth Edition; two lunches; a cocktail reception; and a tabletop exhibit program. For more information or to register, contact the RWMA, 1900 Arch St, Philadelphia PA 19103-1498; phone 215-564-3484; fax 215-564-2175; or e-mail: [email protected].
