Kenworth Truck Co has named its Kenworth Parts Council members: Chairman — Ted Rose, Truck Enterprises, Harrisonburg VA; John Ball, Truck Enterprises-Chesapeake, Chesapeake VA; Doug Bugay, Kenworth of Omaha, Omaha NE; Doug Earp, Cooper Kenworth, Durham NC; Dale McCord, Kenworth of South Texas, Pharr TX; Mike McKay, Kenworth Sales Co, Salt Lake City UT; Bruce Russell, Inland Kenworth, Burnaby, British Columbia; Dan Villeneuve, Tandet Kenworth, Kingston, Ontario; and Kenworth Dealer Council representative Jim Beiderwieden, Inland Kenworth, Burnaby, British Columbia.

Omaha Standard has hired Marc Lewis as general manager of Omaha Standard Truck Equipment Co (OSTEC) in Council Bluffs IA. Lewis has held management positions with Drake Truck Equipment (Sioux Falls SD), Layton Truck Equipment (Colorado Springs CO), Knapheide Mfg (Quincy IL) and Crest Truck Equipment (Bowmansville PA).

Henderson Mfg has named Martin Baldwin western regional sales manager. With more than 25 years' industry experience, he was previously employed as a regional sales manager with a major truck manufacturing company.

David Baratti has been promoted to vice-president — North American sales for Heil Environmental. He had been serving as Heil's director of marketing.

Bosserman Aviation Equipment Inc has added Eric Ferguson to its sales and engineering team as a vacuum truck specialist. The graduate of Purdue University's School of Interdisciplinary Engineering has served several internships with Bosserman.

Component manufacturers

Robert “Bob” Voss has joined Watson & Chalin as the new trailer OEM sales manager responsible for sales in the United States. He comes from Voss Associates Inc, a manufacturer's representative agency he owned.

Grote Industries has appointed Tom Hillegas to the position of western regional manager. He formerly was territory sales manager for Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Aero Industries Inc has hired Lisa McCool to fill the newly created position of flatbed products manager. She comes to Aero from Indiana Glass in Cincinnati OH, where she managed the company's blown glass products.

Thermo King has named Chris Link new regional sales manager — southeast region, replacing Dick Vaughn, who retired in March. Link most recently worked for Hussmann, a part of Ingersoll-Rand's Climate Control Technologies sector, where he served as manager — business development and marketing.

Mark B Hall has been appointed director of marketing and sales for TrynEx International. He previously was a senior account executive at Exhibit Enterprises Inc in Rochester Hills MI.

Chuck Scahill has been promoted to vice-president of corporate relations at Karmak Inc, a newly created position. He previously was vice-president of operations and general manager of Karmak's Springfield MO office.

Fabricators

Trumpf Inc has named James Rogowski product manager of its laser cutting and automation groups, and Mike Morissette will become the product manager of the punching and bending groups in North America. Rogowski, who will continue to manage sales of Trumpf automation systems, previously was a product engineer in the automated systems group. Morissette has been the product manager for punching machines since January 2000.

Ted Hersey has been named sales engineer for Strippit Inc. Based in Maryland, he is responsible for Strippit/LVD products in the Mid-Atlantic region, including eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and northern Virginia. He has more than 10 years' experience as a sales engineer and has worked as a senior industrial engineer.

Dealers/distributors

Aurora Trailer has appointed Mike Conley director of sales and marketing for its semitrailer aftermarket parts and accessories division. Conley, who will be based at Aurora's new Lebanon IN distribution center, previously worked for Wabash National Corp and Monon Trailer.

Obituaries

Lee Sanborn, former vice-president and a board member of Arrow Safety Device Co, died June 14, 2005. He was 77. For more than 25 years, he was sales manager at Mount Holly NJ-based Arrow Safety Device Co. He retired in 1995 and moved to Florida with his wife, Leona “Toots” Sanborn, who survives him along with several family members.
