The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) recently converted its United States Federal Lighting Guide Wall Chart to an online guide on www.NTEA.com to help commercial truck and transportation professionals navigate the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108.

Featured in the Tech Center area of the site, the guide provides lighting requirements for these truck types: walk-in van, van body, tractor, semitrailer, service/utility body, stake body/flatbed, packer body, or dump truck. Any lamp or reflector on the truck or body may be selected for full detail. A .pdf is available by clicking on the Federal Lighting Reference Table at the top of the page.

The full FMVSS 108, 49 CFR part 571.108 should be consulted to assure all lighting requirements are met.

A print version of NTEA's US Federal Lighting Guide Kit is also available and consists of a US Lighting Guide Booklet and a laminated US Federal Lighting Guide Wall Chart. NTEA members may purchase the kit for $35; non-members pay $70. Additional wall charts are available for $15 members and $30 non-members. To order, phone 800-441-NTEA or download an order form from NTEA.com.
