MTE conversion melds heavy-duty truck, pickup qualities

Monroe Truck Equipment Inc (MTE) announces the newly created Chevrolet Kodiak/GMC Topkick pickup truck conversion. To develop this version of the C4500/C5500, MTE worked with General Motors. This Class 4-5 pickup has a steel dually pickup box and tailgate with custom composite side panels and Rhino interior lining. The powertrain consists of a Duramax diesel engine or optional gas engine with an Allison transmission.

Features and benefits include:

  • Patent-pending subframe mounting system isolates box from frame twisting.

  • Integral structure for fifthwheel installation ready for aftermarket installation with no welding required.

  • OEM pickup box design.

Optional equipment includes:

  • MTE polished stainless steel step bars.

  • Pace Edwards retractable tonneau cover with locking capabilities and switchable bed light.

  • Back Country bed rails are constructed of stainless steel with a no-drill stake pocket mounting.

  • Transfer Flow fuel tank.

  • Reese fifthwheel hitch.

  • B & W or Valley gooseneck hitch.

  • MTE Class V receiver hitch.
