Kenworth of South Florida named as new dealer franchise

Kenworth Truck Company has named Kenworth of South Florida as a new dealer serving the south Florida region that includes the counties surrounding Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Fort Pierce, Vero, Okeechobee, Naples and the Florida Keys.

A member of Kenworth’s dealer network of nearly 300 locations in the United States and Canada, Kenworth of South Florida has purchased the assets of Broward Truck and Equipment in Fort Lauderdale with plans by dealer owners Todd Hays and Phil Mitchell to expand customer service in the area.

“Kenworth of South Florida offers the full line of premium Kenworth heavy and medium duty trucks with special focus on vocational, on-highway and medium duty fleets and operators involved in the region’s dynamic growth,” said Todd Hays, Kenworth of South Florida president. “We have a strong commitment to customer service and one of the first actions we took was to extend the operating hours of the Fort Lauderdale facility to enhance customer support.”

That kind of dealer support, combined with quality products, contributed to Kenworth’s reception of five 2005 J.D. Power and Associates awards for “Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Over the Road Segment and Pickup and Delivery Segment Class 8 Trucks, Heavy Duty Dealer Service and also Conventional Medium Duty Truck Segment and Medium Duty Dealer Service.”*

Kenworth of South Florida is located near the Port of Fort Lauderdale and I-95 in a 20,000 square-foot facility. The full-service facility features 16 service bays (including a Kenworth PremierCare ExpressLube bay), well-stocked parts department, computer-controlled alignment machine, driver’s lounge with wireless Internet service, microwave, cable TV and phone service, as well as parts delivery and local fleet preventive maintenance that includes weekends by appointment.
