German commercial vehicle producer MAN has selected the Haldex Electronically Controlled Air Management (ECAM) system for its new TGA truck. The product, developed in cooperation between MAN and Haldex, will be produced at the Haldex Brake Systems facility in Heidelberg, Germany.

The ECAM system integrates functions of the air dryer, multicircuit protection valves, compressor control, safety valves, and pressure-limiting valves. Features of this product include its compact design, pressure level monitoring, automatic leak check, computer-controlled regeneration, and compressor charging during deceleration. It also reduces the reservoir requirement.

Models for application on other European manufacturers' vehicles and for air systems meeting United States regulatory standards are under development.
