Kenworth Truck Co offers two new options on its T300 model for the fire and emergency vehicle market. T300 fire and emergency vehicles now can be ordered with the Leece-Neville 270-amp alternator with cab cutoff switch. This option, created for firetruck rescue vehicle service applications, also requires a dash-mounted warning light indicating cab power status. This alternator is being offered with the ISC Cummins engine.

In addition, the MGM TR 3036 spring brake is available. Fire service vehicles are required to have this special spring brake to meet hill-hold requirements. Its tamper-resistant chamber is sealed to prevent spring escape accidents.
