Diesel falls 1.6 cents to $2.116

The national average price for a gallon of diesel fell 1.6 cents last week to average $2.116. This marks the fourth straight week of price drops due to an easing of crude oil prices from October’s record-setting futures prices.

The Rocky Mountain region posted the largest dip, down 4.5 cents to $2.170 per gallon. The Gulf Coast saw the smallest decline at 0.8 cents to $2.048, yet remains the cheapest region in which to fill up. California once again posted the highest diesel price, at $2.299.
