Joe Loughrey has been named president and chief operating officer of Cummins Inc. Succeeding him as president of the Engine Business will be Jim Kelly, who has served as vice-president and general manager of Cummins MidRange and Heavy Duty Engine Businesses. Rick Mills, who has led Cummins Filtration Business since 2000, will become president of the new Components Group. Rich Freeland, formerly vice-president and general manager — PowerCare and North American distribution, will become president — Worldwide Distribution Business, which combines Cummins International and North American distributors under one organization. Steve Chapman, who has served as president of the International Distributor Business, will become group vice-president — emerging markets and businesses. In addition, Tom Linebarger, president of Cummins Power Generation, and Jean Blackwell, chief financial officer, have been named executive vice-presidents and also will serve as members of the Executive Committee.

ArvinMeritor Inc's Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket (CVA) business unit has announced a sales management reorganization. Jim Sharkey has been appointed to the newly created position of director of sales — North America. Other appointments are: Walt Sherbourne, regional manager, eastern United States and Canadian regions; John Sotiroff, regional manager, western US and Mexico regions; Mark Mercatante, manager of linehaul OEM sales; Paul Nyers, manager of specialty and trailer OEM sales; and Jim Vigliano maintains his position of senior manager — fleet sales. Tim Bauer, former OEM sales director for CVA, has been appointed operations project manager. Sharkey previously served as business unit director of trailer systems — North America. Sherbourne most recently served as director — field sales, North America; Sotiroff had been regional manager — western region for the CVA. Mercatante previously served as senior OEM account manager and joined the company when Euclid Industries was acquired by ArvinMeritor in 1999. Nyers most recently served as senior OEM account manager; Vigliano has been in the aftermarket parts industry for 50 years and joined the company in 1987.

James A Crowcroft has joined Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems as marketing director. He most recently served with Freightliner LLC as manager of product marketing and planning for the Sterling Truck Corp/Western Star Trucks division.

Eric Thorstensen has been appointed director-OEM sales with Grote Industries. He comes to Grote from Tomco Tool and Die Inc, where he served as president. Grote has appointed Mark Blackford as Heavy Duty Division manager. He formerly served as South Central regional manager and proprietary product manager. The company has named Page Large national fleet manager. He joined the firm in 2001 as Southeast OEM/fleet sales engineer.

Hadley Products has restructured the company into two operating units: the Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Business Unit and the RV, Transit Bus, Motor Coach & Specialty Vehicle Business Unit. Rich Lewandowski was named manager for the Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Business Unit, and Barry Hines was appointed manager for the RV, Transit Bus, Motor Coach & Specialty Vehicle Business Unit. Robert Dubsky will remain president of Hadley, with Tim Foster as director of operations, Gordon Virginski director of sales and marketing, Robert Loper director of business development, John Balks director of finance, and Serge Barlas vice-president of engineering for both business units.

The Holland Group Inc (Holland USA Inc) has promoted Duane Blakely to government sales and ground support equipment account manager. He previously served in the company's technical services department.

RKI Inc has named John Norfray as Midwest regional sales manager responsible for Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North and South Dakota. The company has named Bob Ducharme as Northeastern regional sales manager responsible for Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and West Virginia.

MICO Inc has named Christopher Reynolds managing director of its MICO Europe Ltd facility in Worcestershire, England. He will be replacing Jim Fisher, who is retiring. Reynolds most recently held a senior position within the UK Mobile Hydraulics Division of Bosch Rexroth Ltd.

Scott Muessig has joined Stoughton Parts Sales LLC as a field sales manager responsible for sales activities within the Northeast Region. He previously spent 18 years with Tenneco Automotive as an area and zone sales manager. Darryl Dickerson also has joined Stoughton Parts Sales and will be responsible for sales in the Southeast Region. He spent the past six years at Stevens Roofing Systems as a district sales manager.
