Beall Corp celebrates 100 years building trailers

Beall Corporation, a family-owned trailer manufacturing compnay based in Portland, Oregon, will be celebrating 100 years of continuous operation in May 2005.

Beall Corporation, a family-owned trailer manufacturing compnay based in Portland, Oregon, will be celebrating 100 years of continuous operation in May 2005, according to Jerry E Beall, chairman.

The company started in the early 1900’s when Beall’s great-uncle John S Beall moved to Portland from Texas and became involved in road machinery sales. The company is now the the fourth largest bulk tank manufacturer in the United States and the largest west of the Mississippi River.

Beall Corporation now has five manufacturing factories and 11 sales branches across the United States. The company produces aluminum tanks, pneumatics, bottom dumps, end dumps and dump bodies. Beall also offers a full line of heavy-duty parts and service at its facilities located throughout the West.”

The Beall Corporation employs over 550 workers, with more than a third based in Oregon. “We are proud of our Oregon heritage and we plan to carry on our tradition of manufacturing excellence,” Beall says.
