As a result of the Sept 11, 2001, terrorist attack at the Pentagon, an Emergency One Inc (E-One) Titan 4×4 aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicle was severely damaged near the point of impact.

After initial rescue and recovery efforts, the United States Army assessed the condition of this ARFF, determined that a replacement vehicle was needed, and ordered one from E-One.

To help expedite delivery and with the Army's approval, E-One used a stock Titan 4×4 ARFF and promptly made appropriate modifications to meet Army requirements. The new truck was readied and delivered in less than two weeks to Fort Myer Fire and Emergency Services, Pentagon Station.

The Titan 4×4 will be used at the Pentagon station for coverage relevant to helicopter air traffic associated with standard operations.
