Kinedyne Corporation's Lawrence KS facility — which produces a range of products, including cargo straps for the aviation industry — recently achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification of its Quality Management System (QMS). The Lawrence plant is Kinedyne's first U.S. facility to receive this internationally recognized quality management certification.

A provider of products for companies in the transportation and aerospace industries, including the federal government, Kinedyne worked for several months on documenting its processes and other operations within the facility. This ISO certification is effective for three years, subject to surveillance audits by a third party.

Kinedyne's Lawrence team marked this achievement with a celebration for all associates who contributed to the effort. Peter Miko, global quality director, presented the Lawrence team with an ISO 9001:2000 flag, an ISO banner, and the original ISO certificate.

The Lawrence facility also was recently recognized by the Lockheed Martin Corporation, a producer of aerospace products, as an “Approved Source” of cargo securement products for the company.
