Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC recently demonstrated its advanced active safety and new fuel-saving air management technologies to fleets, legislators, and governmental agencies in Washington DC.

In its fourth annual demonstration conducted in Washington, Bendix CVS provided the opportunity to see firsthand how the company's active safety technologies help save lives as well as fuel. An audience of more than 50 experienced Bendix ESP (Electronic Stability Program), designed to help mitigate rollover and loss-of control situations on dry, wet snow and ice-covered roadways; Bendix Wingman ACB (Active Cruise with Braking), designed to help fleets reduce rear-end collisions by helping drivers maintain safe following distances behind vehicles; and the company's latest air-management technology, the Bendix Pneumatic Booster System (PBS), which helps improve engine performance while delivering fuel savings and emission reductions.

Guests at the event held at RFK Stadium also received updates on SmarTire by Bendix CVS tire pressure monitoring system, which can help improve fuel economy and reduce tire-related maintenance costs; and Bendix air disc brakes and high-performance drum brakes to aid in improving stopping distances.
